Ozark is an American crime drama television show that follows Marty and Wendy Byrde, a married couple who moved their family to the Lake of the Ozarks for money laundering. The series released the first seven episodes of its final fourth season, which fans gobbled in a heartbeat and now are inpatient of learning how the story ends. Until the season’s second part is made available, viewers can give a shot at the following shows to fill the time.
Narcos – Escobar’s Story
Starring Brazilian actor Wagner Moura in the role of the infamous Pablo Escobar, Narcos is a three-season television series, which follows the rise and fall of the Columbian drug lord, and the overall evolution of South America’s criminal cartels. The show is available on Netflix and has a spinoff – Narcos: Mexico, which is also worth the time watching.
Mad Men – Advertising Like Never Before
People who haven’t seen Mad Men should change that now. It’s one of the finest American period drama shows released on television. The series is focused on Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm), a creative director at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency in New York City. The show depicts Draper trying to find a balance between his deteriorating personal life and his thriving professional career.
True Detective – A Pioneer in Television Shows
True Detective’s first season was released in 2014 and featured Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the lead roles. At the time, no television series had managed to employ Hollywood big names for their production. The show followed two detectives with different philosophies trying to solve a murder. While the second and third seasons aren’t as good as the first, True Detective is still a decent and entertaining series.
Apart from these three shows, Ozark fans can also choose to watch Breaking Bad, Fargo, The Outsider, and Sharp Objects as a way to keep them busy.
Jacob Elordi “Felt Very Corny” After Filming ‘The Kissing Booth’
You may know Australian actor Jacob Elordi from HBO’s hit teen drama series Euphoria, but you may also recognize him as the gorgeous Noah Flynn from Netflix’s massively famous rom-com trilogy, The Kissing Booth. While it was playing Noah that ultimately put Jacob under the spotlight, the actor struggled to escape the teen heartthrob label. He recently shared his experience after filming the trilogy and how that affected his career as a whole.
Jacob Elordi on Life After The Kissing Booth
The 24-year-old actor is definitely trying to move past The Kissing Booth stating that he “felt very corny” after filming wrapped. He also says he felt “terribly misunderstood,” like he had to prove to everyone that he was a serious actor. This made him very guarded for a while as he was trying to maneuver his career outside of the teen movie. The actor has always been vocal about Noah’s character, and at one point, even suggested that the franchise should call it quits. Obviously, they didn’t follow his advice.
Possibly a Fourth Installment?
Despite his obvious lack of excitement about Netflix’s The Kissing Booth, Jacob Elordi did discuss the possibility of a fourth film, albeit in a different format than fans would expect. Jacob went on to say that he did enjoy the time-lapse in the third film and would like to see where the characters end up when they get old, like nursing home old. The actor also said he was happy with the well-rounded ending of the third film and how it made the story less ambiguous because fans can kind of guess “where it’s going and what happens.”
Future Projects
In addition to Euphoria, where he partners with the talented Zendaya, fans will also be able to see Jacob Elordi in Deep Water, starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. No matter where his career takes him, however, Elordi pledges that he will be much more open with his fans about what projects he’s in and how he feels about them.
