45+ Times Our Grandparents Failed at Technology So Terribly It’s Hard Not to Laugh

Grandparent Technology Fails — It’s Hard Not to Laugh

Even for those born in an era when it was prevalent, technology is still sometimes hard to understand. So, imagine how challenging (and sometimes funny) it can be for generations that grew up with none of our modern technologies to master them. From one grandma mistaking a calculator for a phone to another using an iPad as a cutting board, we’ve compiled a list of the most hilarious technology fails made by grandparents.

A Few of Our Favorite Sites

We all have our favorite websites that we visit often, but for those in the know, all you have to do is bookmark the address and visit the site whenever you want. But, those unfamiliar with the new ways of things, might try the old-fashioned way — writing things down.

My Favorite Sites

We would have laughed so hard if our grandmother pulled out this list of web addresses to show us the places she’s been perusing online. This shows a lot of patience — some of those addresses are pretty long!

Please and Thank You

As a kid growing up, when you were around your grandparents, you were probably taught that you should always say please and thank you. It’s a good rule of thumb so that when you go out into the world, you can be respectful and considerate.

Please and Thank You

But, that doesn’t translate when you’re asking a search bar to help you find some information. Or maybe it does, and this grandma is just trying to lead by example.

What Time Is It?

We all walk around with clocks in our pockets now, and most of them are pretty good at telling the time. So we completely understand why this person was probably a little thrown off by the fact that grandma’s clock never gave the right time.

What Time Is It?

The fact that this grandmother left on the sticker that the cell phone came with is hilarious. This may explain why she was always late or super early to wherever she was going.

Confused

With more and more technology in the home come more and more remotes. Each of these remotes can be quite challenging — all those different buttons doing a host of different things. We were raised during this era, and sometimes those remotes confuse even us.

This grandkid was very helpful, and we applaud them for taking the time to do this. We’re sure their grandparents really appreciated it, as well!
